It doesn’t matter how gorgeous your face is, if your teeth aren’t up to scratch then you’re letting yourself down. Have you ever clocked someone you thought was hot, smiled at them, and been horrified when they smile back revealing teeth like a broken piano? It’s not a good look. Cosmetic dentistry used to be reserved for the rich and famous, but now it is affordable and available to everyone, so there is no excuse for your teeth not to be pearly white. Here are some of the many options available to help anyone with a less-than-perfect smile:

Whitening Services

Yellow may be in this season but yellow teeth will never be. Everyone’s teeth yellow over time, but there is plenty you can do about it. Firstly, it’s essential that you use a good quality whitening toothpaste every day. This really helps your teeth stay as white as possible. Then, once a year, have a whitening polish carried out by your dentist. You will have to pay for this, but when you think about how much you spend on your hair every year it’s nothing in comparison. A white smile says you are young, vibrant and you care about yourself. A word of warning though – there is a fine line between white teeth and a Donny Osmond blinding gleam – don’t cross it!

Basic Cosmetic Dentistry

It’s totally possible to get veneers and dental implants done if one of your teeth is less than perfect. Go along to your local dentist (you may have to compare a few online to find the best one), show them the problem and ask what the way to fix it is. You will be surprised at how easy they will say it is. If you’ve got one tooth letting the rest of your smile down it’s worth fixing – if only so you can finally smile in photographs again! Chipped teeth, missing teeth, gaps and worn down teeth can all be fixed, so don’t suffer any longer – you can get it sorted.

Braces

If your teeth need some realigning, then don’t discount a brace. You might think braces are reserved for gawky teenagers, but these days they can be really discreet. Wearing it might be an inconvenience for a while but it will correct your teeth, leaving you with so much more confidence that it’s got to be worth it. Visit a dentist to ask about your options – they will take a mould of your teeth and design a brace that will fit well and help them get back in line. When the brace is removed you will be left with a perfect set of gnashers that anyone would be proud of. You might need to get them whitened afterwards to complete the look.

What price can you put on a good smile? Women spend hundreds, if not thousands, every year on new bags, clothes, haircuts and accessories. But, as a famous orphan once said, ‘You’re never fully dressed without a smile’. Never a truer word was spoken!
